Tyra Lynne Banks (born December 4, 1973) is an American television personality, producer, entrepreneur, actress, writer, former model and occasional singer. Born in Inglewood, California, she started her career as a model at the age of 15, and was the first African-American woman featured on the cover of GQ and Sports Illustrated Pool Clothes Issues where he appears twice. He was the Bidadari Victoria's Secret from 1997 to 2005. In the early 2000s, the Bank was one of the highest-earning models in the world.
Banks began acting in television in 1993 on Fresh Prince Bel-Air , and made his film debut at Higher Learning in 1995. In 2000 he had a big role like Eve. on Disney Channel Life-Size and Zoe at boxy-office hit Coyote Ugly. She has a small role in romantic movies Love & amp; Basketball (2000) and horror movies Halloween: Resurrection (2002), and appeared on the television series Gossip Girl and Glee .
In 2003, Banks created and began presenting the long-running reality television series America's Next Top Model , which he executive produces and dedicates to the first twenty-two seasons until the series cancellation in October 2015. He remains executive producer for the resurrection of this series, and asked Rita Ora as the host for the twenty-third cycle before reestablishing her own duties for the twenty-fourth cycle. Banks is a co-creator of True Beauty, and has his own talk show, The Tyra Banks Show, aired on The CW for five seasons and won two Daytime Emmy awards for the Talk Show Extraordinary Informative. She hosted a FABLife talk show for two months. In 2017, the Bank replaces Nick Cannon as host of America's Got Talent for the 12th season.
In 2010, he published a young adult novel titled Modelland , based on his life as a model that topped the list of Best Sellers in the New York Times 2011. The bank was one of four African Americans and seven women have been repeatedly among the world's most influential people by the Time magazine.

Cosmetics
In 2014, the Bank established the cosmetic brand Tyra Beauty, which he completed a non-degree certificate program at Harvard Business School specifically for. Tyra Beauty uses a multi-level marketing system to recruit sales distributors, called "beautytainers" by the company. Personal life
The bank has been blatantly abusive in its relationship, being a victim of its own. In 2005, when asked about his relationship history, he stated, "I will not use many names on the show, but certain relationships are not just deceptive but emotional abuse. That's really bad, but it makes me strong." 2009, he opens up about his past relationship when he makes guest appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show hosting with Oprah Winfrey. This episode is dedicated to violent dating in response to Rihanna's attack by Chris Brown.
The bank dates Norwegian photographer Erik Asla during 2010, and in January 2016 they had a son, York Banks Asla, born through surrogacy.
The bank has stated that he mostly avoids drinking and never uses other drugs.
Education
In 2011, the Bank is enrolled in the nine week Owner/President Management Program (OPM) at Harvard Business School. The Bank completed the Executive Education Training Program in February 2012, obtaining a certificate. He gets criticized for implying he is a Harvard graduate. Jenna Sauers, writing for Jezebel referring to her statement at Harvard as "dishonest", and called her to "stop lying" about Harvard.
In 2012, Harvard professor Rohit Deshpande is preparing a case study on Bank companies, Bankable Productions, for use in future courses in the OPM program.
Philanthropy
The banks established the TZONE program, which aims to develop leadership and development of life skills. Bank acts as a protector for TZONE. He has also founded Tyra Banks Scholarship, a fund aimed at providing an opportunity for African-American girls to attend his alma mater, Immaculate Heart High School. In 2005, TZONE changed from a camp to a public charity, Tyra Banks TZONE.
