Diver Get Started for Work
- Reason
- Three useful illustrations: Helmet and separate canvas suit, helmet tightened, and back view of the diver rising into the water. Describes the feature settings that are not displayed in photos or other illustrations of the standard submarines we have, and provide useful historical perspectives. Plus, it's a very nice carving. Also, it worked well in FPC Commons, so I'm photographing might as well bring it here too.

- Note : I was searching for the volume of London Picture News today, and realized the context: The Northfleet Carcass had happened two weeks earlier, and the diver was sent to recover the corpse and other remains. I did not realize before because... well, the accident was a big story until the end of February or so, and of course everyone at that time would make the connection. However, the article that really mentions the divers will work appears in the previous edition (time slowness on engraving, you know...), so I did not make the connection until I traced the volume again today, looked at the article, and it clicked. Should I repeat the statement? Users missing talk 14:51, July 20, 2007 (UTC)
- Description will definitely be better if it has that context. - BRIAN 0918 o 2007-07-20 15: 45Z
- I've done it. Just worry that the context may be too horrible.. for the main page. It was a very bad disaster. How does it look? If it's too long, we might lose the proper reference to the paper. It's in the info file; no one is interested in the difficulty of identifying where the image came from. Users missing talk 15:57, July 20, 2007 (UTC)
- The Main page talks about violent deaths every day in the news section. Besides, it's not our POTD issue. Debivort 22:33, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

- Support as an amazing combination of carving art, encyclopaedic value, and technical scanning. Grim, but not in any way. Artists communicate men's emotions well. --Dhartung | Talk 12:40, July 26, 2007 (UTC)
