Cheryl Rae Tiegs (born September 25, 1947) is an American fashion designer and designer. Often portrayed as the first American supermodel, Tiegs is best known for his numerous appearances on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and TIME for the "Pink Bikini" poster in 1978, which became the image iconic pop culture of the 1970s.

Tiegs was born in Breckenridge, Minnesota, USA, to Phyllis and Theodore Tiegs, a car assembly deck who became a funeral director. He and his family moved to Alhambra, California, in 1952. Philanthropy and activism

Tiegs is active in the philanthropy community, and serves on the Board of Directors of C.O.A.C.H. for Children and Earth Conservation Corps. He is the spokesperson for City of Hope and Ambassador to the International Family Planning Foundation. Tiegs also supports the Macula Vision Research Foundation, I Am Waters, and the Farrah Fawcett Foundation. As an activist, Tiegs explores the effects of global warming through expeditions to the Arctic. He also participated in the General Motors environmental program, driving a hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicle for three months to raise awareness of zero emissions. In 2010, she appeared on Living with Ed, to promote an environmentally conscious living, and was named "Green Star of the Week" by Access Hollywood.

Personal life

Tiegs has been married four times: to advertising executive Stan Dragoti (1970-79), photographer Peter Beard (1981-1983), ambitious actor Anthony Peck (1990-94) who is also the son of actor Gregory Peck, and Rod Stryker yoga instructor ( 1998-2001). He has three sons: Zackary, with Anthony Peck, and twin brother Theo and Jaden, who was born through surrogacy during his marriage to Rod Stryker.

Tiegs served on the Earth Conservation Corps council.

Tiegs lives in Bel Air, California, but puts her house on the market in May 2015 for $ 15 million.
