Known for his delightful and relaxed spirit, artist Steven R. Kidd is often seen walking around with his dogs around the hills of the Hudson River Valley. Sport bow tie, hat, and a typical walking stick (usually a tree branch), Mr. Kidd will sit on a rock and sketch into the blue clock. The night shadows in this area have been known to play tricks, causing people to get lost on the way home - and Mr. Kidd gets well and gets lost, over and over again!

Career Highlights
He left Chicago at the age of 17 to begin work for the New York Daily News and other notable publications. Christmas and the festive season almost became Kidd's motive. His works reflect the appeal he has for the Christmas scene. His illustration of the Christmas scene is usually his best work, which he draws with great care and respect. Kidd's special prize is the catch of ordinary sights. He also drew a series of behind-the-scenes illustrations from Canadian loggers in the woods and lumberyards. Pieces of memories include, "The Night Before Christmas", "The Gift of the Magi", and "Casey At The Bat", which he donated to the Baseball Hall of Fame. His work is also in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution, the Illustrators Club, and the Harvey Dunn Museum.
