Pope Francis expressed his appreciation of the Torah as a "wise movement" and that it was "the gift of God, his revelation, his words". He points out that the editor's note in this Torah edition shows a "dialogical approach" that the relationship between Catholics and Jews is "a cultural vision of openness, mutual respect, and peace in keeping with the spiritual message of the Torah." He also recognizes the efforts and skills of craftsmen and craftsmen, and recognizes how they add more value to the Torah with colorful illustrations. The Pope said that the provision of this Torah edition to the Vatican was "fully entrenched" in "brotherly and institutional dialogue between Jews and Christians" which "is expressed not only through words but also in deeds."

Pope Francis received the first copy of this Torah edition and it will be added to the Vatican Secret Archives. The book was presented to the Pope by a group of Jewish and Christian children.
