Satoshi Tajiri (Japanese: , Hepburn: Tajiri Satoshi , born August 28, 1965) is a Japanese video game designer known as the creator of Nintendo's Poké Pok © n franchise and founder of Game Freak video games. An arcade fan enthusiast, Tajiri writes for and edits his own Video Freak game fanzine with Ken Sugimori, before developing it into a developer company of the same name.
