Smith began modeling at the age of 16. As a teenager he was represented by Irene Marie Models in Miami Beach and traveled to Paris, France, where she worked as a model throughout Europe for four years. His breakthrough came when his natural blond hair was dyed red, giving him a strong resemblance to the 1940s and '50s movie star Rita Hayworth. Smith appeared on the back-to-back issue of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue , and became Esquire of the first Vargas Girl magazine in the 1990s. He also became the first model of the Wonderbra campaign. He then posed for photographer Helmut Newton for the Wolford ad campaign, and was the model for the 2002 clothing campaign for Venus Victoria, the sister company of Europe for Victoria's Secret.
Smith has appeared on the covers of fashion magazines and magazines of Vogue , Elle , Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire and is a cover girl for the March 1995 edition of Playboy . He was photographed by Clifford Wrightfor Maxim Magazine and Ocean Drive Magazine. She has appeared in ads for L'OrÃÆ'à © al, Buffalo Jeans, Camel cigarettes, KahlÃÆ'úa liqueur, Volkswagen cars, and Panama Jack, among others, and have run on the run for fashion designers like Chanel and Jean Paul Gaultier.

Smith was instrumental in his first film role in Paul Mazursky's Faithful , on a reference from Robert De Niro who came from his audition of Casino . She also appeared on The Funeral, directed by Abel Ferrara, and Barbra Streisand The Mirror Has Two Faces. He plays Susan Lefferts, a man who resembles Rita Hayworth, in Curtis Hanson L.A. Secret . Smith's similarity with Hayworth again played a role in the HBO cable telefilm The Rat Pack . She also has a role in American Beauty . His biggest role to date is as the star of the Cinemax TV series Sin City Diaries, which debuted in 2007. He plays Angelica, a Las Vegas entertainment consultant who plans activities for casino enthusiast guests. Overall, he has played various roles in several 1990s film and television series.
The reality television show
Smith appeared as a cast during the second season of the VH1 Celebrity Rehab television show, which described his 16-year struggle with opiate and alcohol addiction. She later appeared in the 2009 series Sober House, a spin-off Celebrity Rehab focusing on a quiet environment. She later appeared in the 2009 VH1 series Sex Rehab with Dr Drew . During this performance, he tells the story of his and his mother with addiction and mutual dependence, which began when Smith was a teenager, and how his experience with rape and prostitution currently plays a role in the addiction.
That same year, Smith and other Celebrity Rehab alumni appeared as panel speakers for a group of new addicts at the Pasadena Recovery Center. His appearance, which marks a year and a half of calmness for him, is broadcast on the third season episode of "Triggers".
Personal life
In a TV Guide story in January 2010 at Celebrity Rehab , Dr. Drew Pinsky states he lives with his mother in Los Angeles, and "does a great job... He's someone who reaches out and is an inspiration and service to other patients."
Legal issues
Smith's name emerged in connection with the January 2008 bankruptcy of payroll firm Axium. The lawsuit accuses corporate partners of abusing funds by hiring Los Angeles, California apartments for Smith, paying for his car and issuing "large payments" to Smith, whom they explain by calling him "consultants" to the company.
